The 12-hour shifts are brutal, so don't try to force a three-hour study session when you're drained. I focus on "micro-studying" instead. I keep my tablet handy and pull up https://www.simplytests.com/exams/nursing to do 10–15 practice questions during my breaks or right before I leave the floor. It keeps my brain in "test mode" without requiring a huge block of focused time. You’ll be surprised how much information you retain just by doing those short, frequent drills throughout the week.
